Item Description
16.5x24" © 1938 issued by various sponsors and this has imprint for "The Mills Bakery." Title at top is "Mickey Mouse Map Of The United States" and front features map design nicely illustrated including image of Mickey's car w/different trailers attached to it for Minnie, Pluto, Clarabelle and Horace. The map has printed design for Calif. and Texas including character illustrations while the rest of the states were left blank as cut-out states were to be pasted in place. These cut-outs were available in issues of "Happy Homemakers' Weekly" and each issue also featured a corresponding "Stories Of The Travels Of Mickey." Seven of these cut-out states have been mounted at appropriate spots and they are Nev., Colo., N. Mex., Ill., Ky., Tenn., Miss. Reverse includes text on the map, club, magazine plus state seals. Both sides show very lt. trace of aging. As folded, the reverse top left quarter has tanned. Front remains quite bright and clean, o/w map shows very little wear. Overall VF but front still displays Exc. The scarcest Disney map we know of, only the second we've seen.
