Item Description
1.25".  Bastian back paper introduced in 1907 has 1/8" missing circle plus tiny inked number on edge. Front shows Santa with toy sack on his back standing in darkened room with two small blue stockings hung on a mantelpiece lit by a glowing candle. Text is "Victor & Co." with bright gold  "Merry Christmas." There are some stain marks widely scattered with the worst on candle holder at left, above candle and at bottom of left arm. There is also a full length vertical line of celluloid craze marks but these are not at all obvious showing only in reflected light, Among the earliest Santas and very scarce with our last Auction 212 NM example exceeding $700.
