Item Description
Killer Wasp mask prototype is 6.75x8.25" high relief Vacuform plastic that has been completely hand-painted w/added screentone accents to eyes. Mask is marked "Original" in blue ink on inside, Collegeville's way of identifying it as a unique prototype. 1960s. Some scattered paint wear and a few tiny edge cracks, but VF overall. Second item is 6.75x9.25" cut-out sheet of vellum w/mixed media original art for Visible Man costume based on the classic 1959 Renwall model kit. Sheet is cut out like face and comes w/matching cut cardstock to allow viewing of painted veins as produced mask (among the more bizarre and rare Collegeville costumes made) was translucent. Penciled "Monster" notation on chin. Aged piece of tape at top center of head above pin hole. Sheet has some dust soiling and handling wear. Fine overall. Unique prototype pair for these 1960s Collegeville costumes. From the Collegeville Archives (see other Collegeville items throughout the auction).
