Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 10.5" tall toy. Marx, ©1964. This classic battery toy's box is complete w/original cardboard insert tray, which has 1.5" tear. Box lid features great illustrations of the Yeti on all panels. Lid has even aging and 1" corner split w/moderate edge wear/creasing along left edge and at left corners. Fine overall. Toy has plush-covered body w/hard vinyl face/hands and tin litho feet. Attached remote control unit is tin litho w/design depicting snow-covered landscape. This has moderate oxidation to side w/instructions and heavy oxidation and tiny 1/16" hole on opposite side. Control unit is VG. Despite issues, remote can be used and toy works w/actions described on the box as "He Grunts And Walks - He Raises Arms And Shrieks," his head raising/lowering, opening mouth. Yeti's shriek is incredibly loud and ear-piercing. White plush exhibits the typical aging w/some spotting on back and feet show some scattered wear. Still displays Fine overall. One of the most desirable battery-operated toys of the 1960s.
