Item Description
11x14" exhibitors book has beautiful Art Deco-influenced embossed cover featuring man riding Pegasus while carrying film camera. Book spotlights upcoming productions and stars. Brief re-cap at beginning of book mentions and shows picture of King Kong and Fay Wray. Another page is devoted to "Son of Kong," the follow-up to 1933 smash hit "King Kong." Beautifully illustrated two-page spread highlights "Frank Buck's Wild Cargo." Individual cardstock pages highlight actresses and films of the time including Katharine Hepburn "Little Women" and beautiful seductive page is devoted to Ginger Rogers who appears in stockings and negligee. There is a die-cut fold-out page with a banquet scene featuring several caricatured actors of the time and comic characters including Little King, Charlie Chaplin, Wheeler and Woolsey as well as Katharine Hepburn and Charlie Chan. A highly stylized and beautifully detailed book. Several pages towards back of book have been bound either upside-down or are loose as produced. Pages remain Exc. Cover has some moderate dust soiling and a streak of staining across middle of book. Fine.
