Item Description
19.25" tall all fabric, felt-like stuffed doll by Needleart Toys and distributed by George Borgfeldt & Co. under their "Nifty" toys line name. Early 1930s. Mickey Mouse has pair of mother-of-pearl buttons on front of pants and has nice printed pie-eye accents and black hand-threaded mouth. Original felt ears and complete w/Needleart's unique styled fully formed thin fabric tail. Missing string whiskers. Doll has had stitching repairs at the following areas - minor .5" repair at area in front of lower face/neck, 1.25" repair to seam along one lower arm, two small stitches to secure pants at side and back and both arms have been reattached to body. Doll stands for display. Even aging to white area of face w/some minor age spotting to hands. Despite repairs, doll remains Fine for display. All Needleart Mickey dolls are rare and we have only offered a handful in our 52 years, and this is the first time we have offered this large size. Among the highest quality Mickey Mouse dolls made in the 1930s.
