Item Description
1.75" button surrounded by brass rim and known in two text  versions. Both read "President Kennedy San Luis Dam" but one is red text and with word "Official" at center and this is the blue text version with "Press" at center. The groundbreaking ceremony took place August 18, 1962 before 15,000 people and JFK and Gov. Pat Brown signaled the detonation of the first explosive charges. Brass rim has a few dots of darker tarnish. Cello surface has two narrow horizontal lines as made that catch reflected light; however, cello is stain free and with high gloss displaying Mint with VF brass rim.
