Item Description
This group begins with Howdy as he looked when this 1.25" button was offered on March 23, 1948 as his first ever premium and as part of his Howdy Doody For President campaign. The show was seen on only five east coast stations and the offer ran only seven times. The 60,000 requests that flooded the NBC mail room astonished the network and thus attracted major sponsors such as Colgate, Continental Baking, Ovaltine and Mars candy. Button surface is slightest bit raised at the center to the touch but otherwise Mint. Second is 1.75" button from Howdy's 1952 campaign with Kagran copyright on lower edge. Small but dark age spots mostly on the red panel. Full gloss. VG. Last is a rare 6" brass charm bracelet. Figures once had more paint but some highlights remain. Charms have most luster and are: Howdy, Clarabell, Princess SFWS, Dilly Dally, Mr. Bluster and Flub-A-Dub. VF.
