Item Description
We begin with a first seen 7/8" lapel stud by W&H with text "Organized Dec. 5, 1901". Thanks to labor union specialist Vince Kueter, we know this was a craft union with the initials on the button standing for United Powder & High Explosive Workers of America. Stud features dynamic scene of a powerful blast propelling rocks and boulders into the air. Second is early 1900s 1.25" by Brown & Bigelow with action scene of an exploding tree stump to demonstrate usefulness of Dupont Dynamite. Exc. Third is 1", also early 1900s, in fall colors showing grouse or quail plus text "Du Pont Powders/The Record Breakers". With Du Pont back paper but text printed off center and is incomplete. Button is NM displaying Mint. See Buffalo Arms Corp. badge. item #668.
