Item Description
These are higher quality and heavier than the five in previous lot. All are nickel plated with the 2-3/8" tall  serial number "2" and "Surgeon" badges having a reverse threaded center post with screw cap plus pointed prong at top center. The larger "Special Officer" is 2-5/8" tall with safety lock on the clasp and the smaller with PA state seal  is 2-1/8" with "C" clasp. Badges come with eight photocopy sheets 8.5 x 11" (same included with next lot) one of which is a Sesqui Personnel Division Memo from June 15, 1926 naming Commissioner Fritz (see next item) and Captain Henne (the apparent holder of badge "Police/2" in this lot). Another sheet names 11 men recommended as Special Officer.  Five sheets are related to Police Dept staffing and three show large groups of standing and motorcycle mounted uniformed officers. The badges are NM to Mint.
