Item Description
The first Mickey Mouse dolls were made by Charlotte Clark in 1930. This doll dates to just after this. These dolls were produced in different sizes and w/slightly different material, this example standing 11" tall to the tips of his ears and had satin-like material used for bodies and head w/printed facial features. Ears and hands are felt while shoes were flocked cloth (now missing majority of flocking). Pants have pair of mother-of-pearl buttons on front and doll is complete w/typically missing long rubber tail. Underside of feet have very faint text reading "Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse - Geo. Borgfeldt Co. New York" as well as patent number. Even lt. fade to red cotton pants. Replacement bow around neck. White portion of face appears to have been cleaned but doll still displays Fine overall and stands well for display. Rare.
