2-13/16" with curl naming maker American Art Works. This movie theater promotional give-away pictures Pickford c. 1916 with photo amply justifying her nickname "The Girl With The Curls". She was one of the earliest stars to be billed under her own name and was quickly dubbed "America's Sweetheart". She was co-founder of the Pickford-Fairbanks Studio and later United Artists Studio.
