Item Description
22x28" Style B half-sheet for the original 1951 release of classic sci-fi film directed by Christian Nyby and starring Margaret Sheridan, Kenneth Tobey, Robert Cornthwaite and Douglas Spencer. James Arness plays The Thing, but he is difficult to recognize in costume and make-up due to both low lighting and other effects used to obscure his features. Poster features seven inset film scenes, but does not show The Thing. Folded into quarters w/scattered margin handling wear. Small area of faint tape staining at lower right corner and small area of surface paper left at lower left. Fine overall. Scarce poster for this sci-fi classic.
