Item Description
27x41" for the original release of the 1945 Universal Pictures Sherlock Holmes film starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock and Nigel Bruce as Doctor Watson. Great stone lithography by Morgan Litho. Corp. of Cleveland, OH features portraits of Rathbone and Bruce at lower left watching speeding train (upon which majority of film takes place) w/portrait of Renee Godfrey at upper right. Three inset panels show illustrated clues. Folded as issued, w/tape on back along fold lines, which have several small tears and splits at fold crease intersections. Poster shows obvious wear, w/.75" piece at bottom center and 1" corner piece missing at bottom right as well as several small tears along right margin and 1x1.5" piece out of upper left corner. Pin holes at corners and along margins. Tape repair on back to 2.5" tear along upper left. Good/VG overall.
