Item Description
Wood toy is 9x10.5x5.5" tall w/piano standing on three removable legs. Decal on lid features classic image of Mickey Mouse at keyboard with Minnie standing alongside singing. Paper "Mickey Mouse" name label above keyboard w/smaller "Copyright Walt Disney Enterprises Ltd - Made In Japan" text below. 1930s. Keys produce musical notes; all work. Top of piano has all over lt. crazing, which also affects decal, though not distracting and decal remains 100% complete. Small paint flake around small nail, but o/w paint shows little wear. Label above keyboard has scattered margin wear but all text remains complete. VF overall. Very rare and one of only two examples we know of (other version is red). This is the actual example shown in The Official Price Guide to Disney Collectibles by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
