Item Description
3.5" w/cardboard back and horizontal bar pin. "Washington 28" union bug in field. Less than .25" horizontal fiber trapped under cello at 9 o'clock that occurred in manufacturing. Moderate surface wear and faint light brown dots of toning contained to the extreme edges. VF. Kennedy campaign staff had to wear this button to be admitted by Secret Service to the Hyannis Port compound on election day in 1960. A rainy election day caused the spotting that is present on all of the less than ten examples known to us. A top Kennedy rarity. Ex-Sec. Helen Lempart Archive.
