Item Description
5.5x8.5" double-sided handbill for concerts that took place at The Apollo in Harlem, NY from Jan. 16 to Feb. 20, 1959. The handbill shows images of the acts, including - Ruth Brown, Willie Mabon, Gene Ammons, Big Jay McNeely, The Orioles and Duke Ellington. Other performers listed include - Joe Loco and His Mambo Quartet, Tiny Bradshaw, The Five Royales, Billy Wards and The Dominoes. Back has illustrated "Apollo" logo at top, w/text noting "World's Greatest Colored Shows." 1/8" tear at top left corner, but o/w Exc. Very rare.
