Item Description
Pair of stiff paper posters from 1967. 14.25x20" poster features circular stained glass window design w/image of Winnie the Pooh held aloft by balloon at center. Text reads "Pooh - A Coffee House" and poster was printed by The Bindweed Press of San Francisco, CA. Lower right notes "Christopher Robin" phone number. Pin holes at corners w/dark staining at upper left corner. Fine overall. 14x20" poster for San Francisco's Quasars Ice Cream parlor features neat zodiac design and mentions what they serve along w/scattered quotes, including "When On Haight - Take A Trip Up Quote" and "And What Is A Weed? A Plant Whose Virtues Have Not Been Discovered." Staple holes at corners w/strip of lighter aging at lower right while rest of poster is evenly aged. Fine overall. Neat pair showing how psychedelic imagery of the era infiltrated all areas of San Francisco during the late 1960s. Rick Synchef Collection.
