Item Description
3.5" dia. celluloid button. This same "Bum" image appears on the cover of the 1953 Dodgers Yearbook as well as a matching button where the art is in bw w/blue text "Beat Them Yanks." However, in both of those cases, the bum is holding a bat and has a plume in his hat, these are not part of the art on this button. The art on the program cover is signed by Mullin. Both versions of the button are shown in Muchinsky's Baseball Pin-Back Buttons book and described on page 428 (pictured here, but does not come with the button). Lt. surface wear mostly only visible in reflected light. Button remains totally bright, clean and glossy. Exc. Rare.
