Item Description
11-7/8x17" silk-screened cardboard sign advertises both "Don Winslow Of The Navy" radio program and its sponsor, Fleer Dubble Bubble Gum. 1940. Sign notes New York WHN 1010 radio station that aired the program. Sign also features image of Winslow and piece of Dubble Bubble. Fleer issued a number of Don Winslow premiums (see previous item) during this era. Sign has some aging w/margins showing piece was once framed. Minor corner tip/edge wear. VF overall. The ultimate display piece for the Don Winslow collector. Comes w/2-7/8x6-1/8" blotter featuring similar image as seen on sign and also noted WHN broadcast. Blotter also features Winslow acronym with promotional text. Blotter shows obvious handling wear w/several creases and small edge tears but is o/w unused and VG. Both pieces are very rare and the first we've offered of either in our 52 years.
