Item Description
10.5" tall wood w/paper labels. Fisher-Price toy No. 720 introduced in 1939 and produced for just two years. Depicts Pinocchio driving a cart marked "Pinocchio Express" featuring images of "Geppetto, Jim Cricket, Kitten." This toy was rushed out for the Christmas season just prior to the release of the film, accounting for the use of these names rather than Jiminy and Figaro. Original pull string w/wooden knob present. Toy makes loud clicking noise as pulled, Pinocchio's legs spin, giving him the appearance of peddling cart. Moderate wear to cart wagon edges and interior w/scattered edge wear to paper labels. Pinocchio has some color touch-ups along edges that blend well. Labels also have a couple marks to Pinocchio's eyes. Fine overall. Neat design. Scarce.
