Item Description
14x20" medium flat velum stock. Advertising the "Conference On The Draft" w/additional text "To Better Explain Your Responsibilities And Legal Alternatives". A faint bend in the lower left margin. Extremely clean w/only a hint of age toning. NM. This event was held at Glide Memorial Church in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood May 27, 1967. Artist Allan "Gut" Terk was a member of the Hells Angels and helped paint 'Furthur' the iconic bus used by Ken Keesay and the Merry Pranksters. Poster is signed by anti-drat activist and founder of 'The Resistance' David Harris in blue ball point ink in the bottom center margin. Harris was married to Joan Baez and led a hunger strike while in Federal prison for draft evasion. Comes w/Hake's COA. Rick Synchef Collection.
