Item Description
13.5x19" on card stock. Feather at left reads "Peace In Vietnam End Poverty Stop Police Harassment 18 Year Old Vote Legalize Marijuana Rent Control Black Power Student Power Fight Racism Tax The Rich Plant Trees & Flowers Vote April 4th." Rubin's 1967 campaign began  as a lark but he turned serious aggressively campaigning. He wore a suit and tie and issued a 24-page booklet that used a semi-psychedelic format to present 24 carefully-worded, well-reasoned, one-page stands on local and national issues. He finished a distant second and he turned his back on electoral politics. Faint horizontal bend above center, evenly tanned, surface paper lift affecting top left corner, tape and tack holes in corners and light margin wear. Fine. Great graphics and bold color. An important poster of the 1960s and a rare local issue. Rick Synchef Collection.
