Item Description
11x17" artboard features pen and ink original art by John Buscema for page 4 of "Marvel Age" Annual #3, published by Marvel in 1987. Art was inked by Tom Palmer. Page features five panels, w/Zeus battle The Avengers, w/Black Knight, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), Namor the Sub-Mariner, Thor, Doctor Druid, Captain America and Wasp being shown. Second panel features Doctor Druid and Wasp overlooking an injured Hercules who is being attended to. Third panel features speculative romances including Namor and Marrina as well as She-Hulk and Wonder Man as portrait of Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), Luke Cage, Black Knight and Wasp look on, Fourth panel features full body image of Captain America reacting to large image of The Fixer's face. Last panel features "The Avengers" title/logo stat paste-over w/creative team credits. Second and fourth panels have screentone accents. Inked title and issue/page numbers at top margins. Back has Marvel copyright stamp. Art remains clean and Exc.
