Item Description
8x10.5" single-sided paper sign issued in 1944 for use in stores, this example has "Whelan Drug Stores" imprint at bottom. Sign was issued in recognition of store's support of "The United States Treasury's War Savings Stamp Program," which awarded one 10¢ war stamp for every 10 punches received on "Comic Savers Card" punch card (see following item), which is pictured along w/Superman image. Some lt. scattered handling wear w/pin holes at corners and tiny pull at bottom left, but sign remains totally bright and clean. Fine/VF. Rare w/only a few known examples.
