10x10" single-sided paper sign issued to advertise DC Comics titles available at Whelan Drug Stores. ©1944 Superman, Inc. Sign announces "For Your Reading Excitement - Superman Comic Magazines - Superman - Batman - Flash - Action - Fun - All-Star And Other Popular Titles - New Issues Every Week - Whelan Drug Stores." Classic image of Superman breaking chains at right. Horizontal fold at center as issued w/2.5/8" archival tape repair on back along fold. Sign has even age toning, but remains bright, clean and VF. Rare (the Franco Toscanini Collection didn't even include an example of this sign) and the first example we've offered in our 52 years.
