Item Description
Lot of three concert posters, two from The Grateful Dead's 1995 tour (the last from the iconic rock band's main career) and one from their 1998 tour. It was during the 1995 tour that founding member Jerry Garcia passed away. Poster measure between 15-1/8x24-1/8" and 16-3/16x2-3/16" and all are printed on thick glossy stock. Both 1995 posters feature nature illustrations, w/"Summer Tour 1995" dominated by sea turtle (w/Deadhead logo on its shell) surrounded by roses and sigils. Bottom has list of cities on the tour, including the final two shows w/Garcia in Chicago, IL (one month before his death). Bottom right has been hand-numbered "1,735/4,500" in black felt tip pen. Historic poster. "Fall Tour 1995" features large sunflowers (w/Deadhead logos hidden in designs) w/dragonfly surrounded by autumn leaves and sigils. Final poster is for Summer 1998 tour by The Other Ones, a rock band formed in 1998 by former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and Mickey Hart, along w/part-time Grateful Dead collaborator Bruce Hornsby. Poster design features roses, tropical frogs and moth at center w/dreamcatcher in distant bkg. Posters have some minor corner bumps and scattered lt. handling wear and art VF to Exc. Rick Synchef Collection.
