Item Description
1.25" with W&H paper used only 1900-1912. Santa sits in driver's seat with hands on steering wheel while cargo area of the sleigh is piled high with toys. In the foreground men, women and children gaze at him in amazement. In background is huge building with sign "The Boston Store" across the front. Reverse has a few tiny age dots along the collet and a hairline 3/8" split as made and both of these small defects are barely seen. Front has a few very tiny raised bumps at top which can be felt but do not detract visually. One of the earliest, best color and scarcest Santa buttons. One of the few Santa buttons that has broken the $1,000 barrier at auction.
