Item Description
4x7" cardstock. 1966. Reverse has text ad for comic books and states "Follow The Adventures Of Challengers Of The Unknown - One Of The Longest-Running Successes In DC's House Of Hits!" Debuting in "Showcase" #6 (Feb. 1957), "Challengers Of The Unknown" received its own 77-issue title in 1958, before the series ended in 1971. Back of card has been filled out in black ink and has message written from DC employee regarding request about back issues and mentions "Doom Patrol" (see following item). Front's depiction of the four-man adventuring team has been neatly hand-colored and top corners have pin holes. Scattered aging and lt. corner tip wear. Fine overall. Rare and first we've offered in our 52 years.
