13-5/8x21-1/8" thin cardboard sign promotes Hank Ketcham's "Dennis The Menace" comic strip appearing in "The Mirror Daily News" newspaper. 1950s. "Dennis the Menace" debuted March 12, 1951 and continues to this day, w/Ketcham's former assistants and son carrying on. Sign features great half-body image of Dennis and text noting 30 other comic strips being printed by "The Mirror Daily News." Scattered handling wear w/moisture staining along top (more noticeable on reverse). Scattered moisture staining along bottom and right margins. Fine overall. Rare and first we've offered in our 52 years.
