Item Description
7.75x10.25" hardcover by Blue Ribbon Books, ©1934 WDE. 28-page story features color and bw illustrations by Walt Disney Studios staff. Book comes w/dust jacket and original 4.25x10.5 illustrated paper band that went around book. DJ is unclipped and shows moderate edge wear and aging w/scattered staining at bottom right front corner. Scattered moisture staining on back w/ 1" sliver missing along top margin and .75" edge splits at top right corners. VG. Paper band features same image of Mickey Mouse on each side w/sign reading "The Storybook With Characters That Come Out And Walk." Band shows moderate aging and scattered wear along top/bottom. Fine overall. This paper band is rare as it was almost always discarded. Book itself remains very clean w/just slight corner tip wear and some faint scattered age spotting. All story and instruction pages complete, but punch-out pages have been removed. Book is still Fine overall for display. Mickey and Minnie Mouse waddle figures are complete; though main Minnie piece is now in three sections. Even aging to white portions of faces w/scattered handling wear. Minnie is VG. Mickey is Fine. Missing Pluto and Tanglefoot waddle figures. All eight brass pieces present as issued. Classic Disney book w/rare paper band.
