Item Description
While many collectors are no doubt aware of the many Disney Big Little Books (BLBs) published by Whitman during the 1930s and 1940s, a lesser known cousin of those books are their English counterparts published by Dean and Son in London during the early 1930s. These books, colloquially referred to as "British Big Little Books," feature thicker pages but were published in a similar format. Offered here is "Mickey Mouse Presents Bucky And Bo," which measures 4.5x5.75" and has 160 pages (including covers). While Mickey Mouse appears on the front cover, book revolves around obscure Disney character Bucky Bug and his hobo friend Bo Bug. 29 pages have been neatly colored (or partially colored). Book is missing spine and both front and back covers are loose, but both retain vibrant color. Just Good overall, though pages remain intact as bound, clean and Fine overall. Unlisted in "Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide," few copies are known, and this is the first we've offered in any condition in our 52 years.
