Item Description
1940s. Sizes .5" to 2" wide card in Row 2. First eight are lapel studs and all others are pins. Row 1 #1 reads "Military Service/ Registered". #2/3 similar except one says Legal Advisor and the other Medical Advisor.  Row 2 first says "Member" and other three say Enrolled For Service U.S.A. Next are five varieties of Ships For Victory and three related to Merchant Marine or Maritime Commission. Row 5 #1 badge reads "Inspector/United States Maritime Commission". Next is July 4, 1945 Navy button from Terminal Island, Calif. Last two enamels are for United Seaman's Service founded 1942 to promote welfare of American seafarers and dependents. The eagle pin probably a bit post-war and the bar from war years marked "Sterling". Exc to Mint.
