Item Description
1940s. Sizes 5/8- 1.75". First three all reference "Defense". First has cello nicks and pink spot on rim edges but is a rare newspaper carrier button. Next seven reference "War Bond" with five naming specific company: Phoenix Hosiery, Saco-Lowell Shops, Safeway, Standard Oil (light stain) and Bendix (light stain). Bottom three rows have variety of issuers. The Civil Defense has some stain. Row 4 and first in row 5 are plastic pin-backs. Exc to Mint except as noted.
