Item Description
5x7x.5" thick painted cast plaster wall plaque features cartoon image of Uncle Sam pulling his pants down, exposing his rear for Tojo to kiss as Hitler and Mussolini look on. Incised "Uncle Sam's Peace Talks" title at bottom. Metal loop at top for wall hanging. 1940s. 3/8" surface flake at upper left corner, o/w Exc. We have seen this image by Charles J. Herbert on postcards in bw but this is the first color variety/wall plaque we've seen in our 52 years. Rare.
