Item Description
Pair of approx. 13" tall painted plaster statues. ©1942 J.Y. Jenkins as noted by incised text on back of bases which also notes "Venice, Calif" as place of manufacture. Each statue features great depiction of angry baby wearing soldier/sailor caps and gun belts. Statues differ somewhat as soldier baby has one pistol gripped in fist while sailor baby holds two. Soldier baby also only has one "US" holster on his belt while sailor has two. Caps are obviously different as well, as is hair. Front of bases have raised "Remember Pearl Harbor" text. A few small paint flakes and some scattered dust soiling w/some scattered faint staining to sailor. Still VF overall while soldier is Exc. Great pair to display together.
