Item Description
11.5x15" thin paper w/blank back. At the center of this poster advertising the "Funniest Song On Earth/ Teddy Bin Away Awhile But He Comin' Back Ag'in" is an outrageous cartoon featuring TR on horseback, revolver on his belt, waving two banners "Laboring Man's Friend" and "Full Dinner Pail." In the background is "Reciprocity Willie" who's been bucked from his horse "Thou Shalt Not Steal," as Uncle Sam, at top right, looks on from a podium labeled "I Want The Wheels Of Industry To Roll With Smoke From Every Furnace." Jugate images at bottom r/l of image w/caption "Home Stretch- Teddy Wins!" Song by "Capt. A. T. Hendricks" published by "A. H. Sparks Birmingham, AL." Two vertical and one horizontal fold, tape remnants at top corners and center and moderate toning. Fine. An outstanding image and the first we can recall encountering in our 52 years.
