Item Description
Bracelet intended as gift for a sweetheart or wife made from heavy brass band cut from an artillery shell. Bracelet opens on a hinge and is oval shaped 2-5/8" across and 2.25" wide. Generally known as trench art but given the high quality of the workmanship actually likely made by a jeweler. Top has iron cross design with date of 1914 flanked by silver luster oak leaves accented by ten acorns. There is a sturdy clasp plus safety chain. The bottom interior surface has an oval brass plate engraved "Z. Er. A.d. Weltkreig/1914.15". Trivial traces of wear. Exc.
