Item Description
Rare pair of 1930s Doc Savage premiums. 8.75x11.25" stiff paper has "Portrait Of Doc Savage Especially Painted By Walter M. Baumhofer For Doc Savage Magazine." Scattered handling wear (mostly at margins), but not affecting the bright, striking image of Savage. Fine/VF overall and image still displays nicely. Impressive and rare premium picture. 2-3/8x3-5/8" card has image of Aug. 1933 issue of "Doc Savage" pulp magazine on front as well a logo for publisher/club issuer - Street & Smith Publications. "The Code Of Doc Savage" on back w/small "Doc Savage Club" logo. Member's name neatly penciled on provided line. Card shows moderate margin wear along left/right w/dust soiling and a few small stains. VG/Fine overall. Rare. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
