Item Description
3x5.5" mailing envelope w/"Doc Savage Club" logo (which matches included lapel stud) and return address. Envelope has handwritten recipient address in ink and shows scattered aging and moisture staining. Fine. Envelope contains 2-7/8x5.25" stiff card that holds .75" dia. dark bronze luster lapel stud issued by Street & Smith, publishers of "Doc Savage" pulp magazine in the 1930s. Card has small Doc Savage image w/die-cut hole at center as made to hold lapel stud. Card also features text promoting "Doc Savage Magazine." Back has inkstamp from equally rare premium stamp that was ordered separately from the pulp. Scattered handling wear/aging. Fine. Both envelope and card are very rare; we have only offered a few of each in our 52 years. The stud w/threaded post and screw cap on the reverse is high grade, NM example. These are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
