Item Description
4.25x6.5". Guiteau signed these and other cabinet photos while awaiting execution in Washington DC. Diagonal crease at bottom right. Ink has light fading. Fine. Scarce. Frustrated that Garfield would not appoint him to an ambassadorship the New York lawyer stalked the President eventually shooting him at the Baltimore & Potomac Railroad Station July 2, 1881. Comes w/Hake's COA & JSA LOA.
