Item Description
14.5x15" frame. Each card about 4x8.25". Standing portraits of the President and First Lady each signed in black fountain pen ink "Lucy W. Hayes" and "R. B. Hayes" both in the hand of Rutherford B. Hayes. Outstanding portraits of the first couple w/the President wearing a top hat and Lucy admiring an object in her hands. Card at right has horizontal crease that breaks the surface paper. Otherwise both are extremely clean and bright. Signatures remain strong w/only minor light fading. VF. An outstanding and rare pair that make for an impressive display. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
