Item Description
Sealed 8.5x11" envelope comes w/complete photo puzzle (8.5x11" MGM photo scene of Tarzan, Jane and Cheetah) issued by "Screen Book Magazine," c. 1932. Front of envelope features photo of Johnny Weissmuller as Tarzan on elephant while reverse details letter writing contest sponsored by/about "Screen Book Magazine." Envelope is evenly aged and has some moisture staining along upper right margin. Handling creases along edges. Fine overall, but envelope remains sealed and is rare as such. 7x11.75" single-sided stiff sheet has 12 blocks w/images of African wildlife w/"Can You Identify These Wild Animals From 'Tarzan Escapes'? A Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Picture" text. Issued as a movie theater hand-out, 1936. Sheet shows lt. aging and obvious wear w/tape archival repairs on back to 3" tear across elephant and lion as well as 2x3.5" corner piece reattached at upper left. Corner tip off bottom right. Good/VG overall but very rare and the first we've offered in our 52 years.
