Item Description
3.5" w/metal back and easel. "Souvenir" of the Midwest event on "Oct. 18 And 19. 1898." Captioned at top "Who Did It?" and picturing Dewey, Roosevelt, Schley, McKinley and Sec. of the Navy Long. Vignettes at bottom left and right feature warship firing on the Spanish "Manila May 1st 1898/Santiago July 3rd 98" and TR standing w/raised American flag and saber urging his troops onward "Santiago July 17th 1898." Minor surface wear but remains extremely clean especially for a button of this size and vintage. Exc. Easily the finest of the few examples we've encountered.
