Item Description
Lot of three glazed ceramic Brownies figural pieces; two Policeman and single Villager. 1890s. Policeman is offered in two sizes; 7.5" and 8-7/8" tall and feature same candlestick holder design w/holes at top of hats to hold candles. Incised numbers "2889-31" and 2838-70" underneath bases. Villager is same size as smaller Policeman. Incised "2892-51" on underside. Smaller Policeman candlestick holder has three pinpoint glaze flakes to hand and handle of baton, w/two tiny flakes to jacket buttons on front. VF. Larger Policeman candlestick holder has hairline on side of hat as made and is NM. Villager has pinpoint flake to tip of nose and 1/16" flake at bottom of shirt. Displays Exc. Nice trio. These are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
