Item Description
"The Beagles" was an animated TV series produced by Total Television that aired on CBS from Sept. 10, 1966 to Sept. 2, 1967. Offered here is a two cel set-up w/painted key master bkg. from 1967 episode "Foreign Legion Flops." Scene shows "The Beagles" (who were a musical duo similar to The Beatles, hence the play on their name) main characters Stringer and Tubby in Foreign Legion uniforms being confronted by military man in barracks as they play their instruments. Barracks' bunk beds are cut and painted pieces that have been applied to key master bkg. Acetate cels have been taped to bkg. w/aged tape at corners. Top margin of 10.25x13-7/8" animation artboard has penciled "B-20" and "BG-77" notations. Artboard has some corner tip wear and tape staining, but set-up would display VF if framed. Art from this short-lived series is rarely offered, let alone a master set-up like this.
