Huge 41x61" original printing subway poster for Guns N' Roses' appearance at the Aug. 20, 1988 Monsters of Rock concert that took place at Donnington Park in Leicestershire, England. Guns N' Roses' appearance was in support of Guns N' Roses' debut album, 1987's "Appetite For Destruction," which reached the top of the charts (where is sat at number one for four weeks) shortly before the concert. The concert also featured Iron Maiden, Kiss, David Lee Roth, Megadeth, Helloween and is rather infamous as two fans were killed in the crowd surge during Guns N' Roses' set. Poster features classic photo of the band seated, replete w/cigarettes and a bottle of whiskey sitting on the ground in front of them. The band's name appears in huge lettering at top w/the album name and concert information at bottom. Poster has been rolled and shows obvious corner tip wear, w/corner tips off upper right and lower left corners. Top margin also shows moderate wear, w/chips and three tears measuring between 2" and 2.5" (w/tape repairs on reverse). Scattered handling creases and wear, poster is VG overall but margins issues could be matted out for nice display. Impressive rock poster.
