Item Description
5-7/8x9" die-cut stiff paper promotional hanger issued by movie theater during original release of the 1932 pre-Code biographical film starring Edward G. Robinson as 19th century silver tycoon Horace Tabor (renamed Yates Martin for the film) as well as Bebe Daniels and Aline MacMahon. Hanger is designed like a 1933 silver dollar coin w/Robinson's portrait and "The Epic Story Of A Man Who Was Made By Silver And Ruined By Gold" text. Hanger has imprint of Oritani Theatre at bottom. Trace margin wear at top/bottom and back has 1.75x3.25" area of glue staining, but this does not affect front's display, which remains Exc. Very rare and first we've offered in our 52 years. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
