Item Description
Henry "Hennery" Peck, popularly known as Peck's Bad Boy, is a fictional mischievous prankster created by George Wilbur Peck (1840-1916), first appearing in the 1883 novel "Peck's Bad Boy And His Pa." Since then, the Bad Boy has appeared in numerous print, stage and film adaptations. Offered here is a 23-7/8x36" stock tour poster for a 1904 stage performance. Poster features humorous image of Peck holding match to large powder keg labeled "Fun" as his Pa sits propped up against the other side, unaware as he reads his newspaper. Top margin has "A Barrel Of Fun With Be Exploded At An Entertainment Entitled Peck's Bad Boy And His Pa." Additional promotional text promises "You'll Laugh Until Your Sides Ache." Blank marquee at bottom. Poster has some scattered handling/edge wear but remains clean and VF.
