Item Description
3.75x3.75" animated shelf clock by Lux Clock Mfg. Co. 1930s. Clock face features stereotypical depiction of African-American "Shoe Shine Boy" who is depicted w/animated arm that holds shoe brush. When wound, his arm moves up and down as if shining shoe of woman as she admires herself in mirror. Metal prop on back unfolds for shelf display. Lithography of clock face has no fading. Rim of clock shows some lt. wear in the form of tiny paint nicks/scratches and back of clock housing has small dent, but still Fine/VF overall. Running.
